of oval section, the knob carved in the form of a bixie seated on its haunches, the seal face with a two-character inscription, the stone of deep yellow colour partly calcified to russet and pale brown, the toggle pierced through the centre and wreathed in high relief by three archaistic dragons, the stone of a pale celadon colour with russet highlights

The seal is generally in good condition. The seal face is somewhat worn with age and its use, as visible on the seal impression and possibly slightly polished. There is some characteristic pittings and minor nibbles along the edges, all consistent with age. The toggle has some nicks and bruises to the raised areas, including an approx. 0.4 by 0.6 cm bruise with associated minor losses in one place but overall it is also in good condition. The actual colours are quite similar to the catalogue illustration, perhaps only very slightly richer.
