The work is in good condition overall, as is the silk, which is free from runs, tears and holes. Upon close observation, there is evidence of light wear and handling around the edges of the painting, along with scattered moles predominantly in the area beneath the figure and on the bottom part of the curtain. Minor spots of foxing are sprinkled on the woman's body (lower arm and stomach) and on the curtain (top center and left margins). Examination under ultraviolet light reveals no sign of restoration. Framed, under Plexiglas.
