Condition
Movement and all functions are in working order while cataloguing, but it has not been tested for the accuracy of time keeping and a service might be required at the buyer's expense. Dial is clean and intact. Very light surface hairlines to the bezel and lugs, very small dent to the bottom left lug. Strong hallmarks. Overall condition is very good. A very nice example.

3970型號錶款為品牌極具代表性的2499型號的承接之作。兩款型號最大區別為前者於錶盤3點鐘位置添加了30分鐘計時盤連閏年顯示，及於9點鐘位置增添小秒針錶盤及24小時顯示。此款分別發行黃金、白金、粉紅金和鉑金版本，以及一款備有鑲鑽石黑色錶盤的鉑金特別版。3970型號按生產先後次序細節設計稍有不同，可分為4個系列。：
第一代：撳扣式錶背，黃金立體時標，葉形指針
第二代：旋入式錶背，黃金立體時標，葉形指針
第三代：旋入式錶背及藍寶石水晶背透蓋，立體時標，條狀指針
第四代：與第三系列基本相同，惟序列號不同並備折疊錶扣
