The movement is working at the time of cataloguing. The repeating mechanism is also striking the correct time. Some dust to the dial but overall in good condition. Case noticeable scuffs. Overall in good condition for its age.

The successful firm of Louis Audemars, manufacturers of complicated mechanisms, operated from 1811 to 1885. By 1828 the firm comprised of Louis Audemars and his eight sons, production was focused on precision watches of consistent high quality. Buyers of their movements included Bautte, Piguet & Meylan and Jules Jurgensen. In 1875 the firm was succeeded by three firms, F. Audemars Fils, Audemars Frères and Louis Audemars. Audemars Frères was set up by Hector and Charles-Henri Audemars, the sons of Charles-Henri who was Louis’ youngest son.
