Movement is in working order while cataloguing, the chronograph is also in working order. Dial in good condition with light signs of wear. Case and bracelet with very light scuffs from wear and very few small dents to the bracelet. Overall in very good condition. With history of the watch and its owner, services papers, the last one being done in November 2012. **The strap of this wristwatch is made from an endangered species, please refer to important notices for further information.**

Released circa 1972 the Daytona Ref.6263 featuring an Oyster case with screw-down back, crown and chronograph buttons and fitted with a black acrylic calibrated bezel remained in production until circa 1987. The combination of a black dial with white subsidiary dials and red large print 'Daytona' text have given this model combination the affectionate moniker  ‘Big Red’ by collectors. The present watch is a fine example of a ref 6263 which has always been carefully cared after by its owner, a professional aviator who considered this exceptional watch to be his lucky charm when he approached the world’s major airports.
