cast seated in dhyanasana with right hand in abhayamudra and left hand in avakashamudra, an elaborate necklace covering the exposed chest, the shoulders draped with a shawl whose long trailing ends reach to the bottom of the lotus throne, the hair gathered into a double chignon surmounted by a 'flaming jewel', encircled by a ten-pointed crown

The tip of the central leaf of the crown is cracked and there is a loss to the tip of one leaf at the back of the crown. One loop of the shawl on the figure's left has been repaired with a pin. There are general signs of surface wear.
