註：蒲華、高邕皆浙人，兩人雖年差十餘歲，書畫觀卻頗近，俱為性有孤介者，互引為生平第一知己。他們常有合作，以花卉居多。本幅畫中高氏先寫芭蕉湖石，定全畫格局，蒲華補秋菊，二人皆以書法之筆作畫，冷雋秀逸，以氣勢勝，渾然一體，無絲毫拼湊之弊。蒲高同題，亦為合作畫中少見。參以高氏題跋所言，本幅應為具同籍之誼的鈕養之點題而製，故尺幅鉅大，有異於常見者。
