註：本幅錄沈從文自書詩三首，題「時年七十八歲」，即寫於一九八○年。〈花馬岩〉、〈西村〉二詩，收錄於〈郁林詩草〉，為一九六三年沈氏赴兩廣期間所寫之古體詩。〈喜新晴〉寫於一九七○年十月，乃作者下放湖北咸寧雙溪期間，時七秩初度，久病新痊，摯友遽然離世，一時感懷，寫以自勉。
