德芬吾兄足下，惠紙拜到，至感。扇展擬於香港舉行之，託九華堂辦理。此間範圍較小，似不甚相宜也。遐翁昨有書來，欲與同展覽，如何辦法，乞兄轉與商畧之。賜示為盼。此叩大安。

上款：「德芬」即鄭德芬，香港報界人士，供職〈工商日報〉任廣告部經理。性嗜書畫，五十年代活躍於當地文化界，與藝壇人士多具交誼，得寫贈作品頗夥。除粵籍名宿外，暫寓香江者亦有往還，與大千先生屬舊交，室號「餘學齋」匾額即出自先生手筆。

註：一九四九年初，大千先生暫避內戰烽煙，寄寓海隅一角，居停於港澳間，訪友敍舊，潛心創作。函中稱「此間範圍較小」，即指身處濠江，欲在香港舉行扇展，遂請好友鄭德芬轉託劉少旅主持之「九華堂」經辦其事。從內容可推知寫於一九四九年，若參照編號1143〈購
物札〉，本函應寫於其前，即在是年七月四日前。
