重要私人收藏「嶺南畫派」作品 （編號 1123－1126）
一九三九年，值抗戰局勢危急，高奇峰先生義女張坤儀，親攜一批高氏墨迹經香港赴美，以免淪入敵手。抵美國後，先後在北美、歐洲等地舉辦高氏及其作品聯展。該批作品包括山水、花卉、翎毛走獸等，堪稱海外最為重要的嶺南畫派代表作。後轉歸美國劉榮蕭氏，並於八十年代分別借展香港及台北，以弘揚嶺南畫藝。
上款：「恩初」即劉恩初，廣東台山人，在美國紐約市服務僑界，歷
任當地多個華人團體公職，如台山寧陽會館主席、龍岡公所主席、紐
約華僑公立學校校長等。一九二六至二八年間，擔任當地最重要之華
僑社團中華公所主席，期間支持北伐。四二至四四年，再度掌理會務，
大力推動籌募抗戰經費。
本幅乃張坤儀寫於紐約，以荷花喻君子之風，誌賀劉氏重膺此職。
