註：一九六九年春，黃君璧風塵僕僕，往遊非洲及南北美洲，足迹踏遍「世界三大瀑布」之維多利亞、衣瓜索及尼亞瓜拉，對景寫生，白練長虹之奔騰浩瀚氣勢，盡收筆底，對其繪畫瀑布技法大有裨益。是年底，〈黃君璧畫集〉刊行，內容取瀑布寫生為主。本幅同期所出，構圖、筆法與畫集中所收諸作類近，正是此行所積累技法運用熟練之表現。畫中飛瀑激瀉而下，前景右方一角，相思成對棲於岩塊上，如攝影角度之取景，顯景深之變化、動靜之對比，可見畫家取法自然，構思靈活，佈局不拘一格。本幅亦可與畫集封面之作比擬，或可知所狀者乃維多利亞瀑布一角。
