上款：「文寬」即黃文寬（1910-1989），廣東台山人，畢業於廣州法學院，執律師業。抗戰初期，一度投筆從戎，後從事教育工作。四九年後，歷任廣東省文管會委員、廣東省文史館副館長等職。

他嗜文史，好藝術，對書畫、篆刻、碑版以至考古均有研究。又精書法、治印，有印譜傳世。與廣東藝術諸家交往密切，如盧振寰在與本幅同年冬寫有墨牡丹長卷送贈，工筆鈎描，設色清麗，精緻程度與本幅相埒。
