描述

seated in vajraparyankasana, the right hand held in bhumisparshamudra and the left in dhyanamudra holding the vase of immortality kalasha, wearing a singling robe draped over the left shoulder and falling in undulous folds over his arms and knees, leaving half of his torso bare, the serene face detailed with downcast eyes and arched brows centred with the urna, flanked by long pendulous ears and highlighted in gold and red pigments, the head and domed ushnisha covered with tight curls coloured in blue and surmounted by a jewel, all supported on a lotus pedestal and a stand decorated in front with a drapery flanked by two lions and raised on four baluster feet, the base sealed and centred with a vajra in red paint

Condition

The figure is cast integrally with the lotus pedestal but separately from the lower stand. There is an aperture to the rest of the figure on the base to fit a mandorla which is now missing. There is some wear and light rubbing to the pigment on the face. There is an original flaw in the cast to the reverse of the right arm with some bronze filling. There are some typical light scratches and dents here and there, but overall the condition is good.
