carved with rounded sides resting on a tapered foot to an everted rim, deeply carved through alternating layers of black and cinnabar lacquer with four ruyi-shaped pommels, the base with a trefoil motif, the interior lined with a metal fitting
Condition
There are age cracks and general surface wear. 0.5cm loss to the interior wall. The inner lining of silvery white metal has extensively corroded and is brittle.
