- Gilt-bronze and glazed terracotta
assis en vajrasana sur un trône, les mains en dhyana mudra; avec une statuette d'Amitayus en stuc laquée or, XVIIIE siècle (2)
Condition
The figure is in overall good condition with the exception to the missing alms' bowl originally held in its hands. There are traces of bright blue pigment in his hair. The figure has lost the scrolls originally held inside. The Chinese characters for 920 are incised on the inside of the base. The figure is heavily cast.
On the small stucco figure the head was broken off and was reattached in the past. There are bits of the crown, ears and nose chipped off and missing. The tips of the ribbons behind both arms are missing.
