Acquired in Tibet in the 1970s.

The thangka is in its original textile mount. There are areas of loss to the pigments of the painting, particularly the the upper part, along the left and right sides and the lower part of the painting as well as along some vertical creases in the cloth. The colours are more saturated and richer than the catalogue illustration suggests.
