Condition
On the box there is a ca. 1cm wide area on the rim between two small cracks which may have been restored/repainted. The inside may also have been repainted.
On the cover there is a ca. 1cm wide and a ca. 1.5cm wide area to the rim which have been restored or repainted. The inside may also have been repainted.
There are small areas of yellow ground visible between the carved red design. The colour of the lacquer is of a darker, more cinnabar red tone than the catalogue illustration suggests.
