Condition
This work is in excellent condition. There is a minute speck of paint loss on the left panel, 5 cm from the right edge and 30 cm from the bottom, only visible under close examination. No evidence of restoration under UV.

譚行健為新寫實派的代表人物，其以典雅而富詩意的作品風格，及富巧思的構圖表現著稱。此次上拍的二聯作以寫實的花草植物為題，搭配傳統白描線勾的中式家居生活場景，詠時，也詠對景的思念。
《籬外》遠處隱約有西湖斷橋，是意念的馳騁。《秋思》有銀杏樹影斑斕，迷人的光影，感時的緬懷與豁達兼而有之。作品呈現一種仿佛回憶與現實的時空交錯，及既古典又現代的中式優雅情懷，令人難以忘懷。
