Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good. There is some minor wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age with a few minor nicks to the edges. The bird was cast in sections; slightly open joints are visible under both wings and at the upper legs. The plants by the rocks are cast separately and a joint is visible at the stems.
There is some very minor dark spotting and two small restored chips to the edges of the short sides of the base, which is otherwise in good condition.
