李曼峰學貫中西，其獨特畫風融合水墨之寫意與油畫技巧，相得益彰、耐人尋味，可謂是東南亞現代藝術史上最具影響力的藝術家之一。他取水墨虛實明暗、朦朧清澄之微妙平衡，峇里島地美人麗，自然景象與人文氣息盡收筆下。

柔和舒泰的晨光散發出峇里深厚的底藴，李曼峰眼中的峇里始終如一，但他演繹的技法卻經年越發遊刃有餘。六十年代末，他曾作數幅背景極簡，但主體雕琢甚細的畫作，是其巔峰之作。《峇里民采》（拍品編號348）構圖精密，每個人物都有自己的故事，寶島之題發揮得淋漓盡致。

此橫幅敘峇里村莊之生活閒事，玩耍的孩童、備貢品的婦人、打扮中的少女和遠處手抱公雞的男子，平常熟悉，然唯美唯妙、浪漫動人。畫家標誌性的棕褐色調與古樹廟宇的剪影都使其更添韻味，細密精湛，神氣流動貫穿畫幅。

清秀佳人端坐中央，李曼峰微妙地引用了波提且利名作《維納斯的誕生》，維納斯是愛和美，也是不可抵擋的誘惑。李曼峰筆下的她一頭黝黑長髮，肌膚煥發、五官深刻、身材標緻，盡是峇里女子的特徵，她是迷人的女神，也是愛與慾望的象徵。

李曼峰對峇里島淳樸民風與文化的厚愛在《峇里民采》一覽無遺。其畫作中的精神不僅打動印尼的現代藝術家，更廣受歐洲及中國藝術界人士青睞。此畫優雅不凡，是李曼峰巔峰時期的典範。
