拍品資料及來源

"I have borrowed the idea of this work from a Leonardo Da Vinci painting, which I have collaboratively echoed the works of Indiguerillas’ TV EYE. TV EYE is based on the Javanese culture images of a popular expression (Bagong’s bulky stature and Gatot Kaca’s wings represented as Superman). Instead of describing the society through a television robot, my robot represents the modern forms of technology and information.

The idea was taken from Leonardo Da Vinci’s portrait of Cecilia Gallerani holding a mink. Mink is interpreted as a symbol of purity. In this work, I have replaced the mink with a TV Robot and retitled it Lady with an Ermine Eye. A depiction of a modernized society where information is simply accessible through advanced technology, which we are influenced and deeply reliant on."
