Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. According to the Gübelin report, a random selection in excess of ninety percent of the rubies are of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating; the rubies measuring from approximately 6.40 x 4.70 x 2.90mm to 13.65 x 10.65 x 6.45mm, weighing from approximately 0.65 carats to 6.50 carats, rubies estimated to weigh a total of approximately 93.00 - 105.00 carats; rubies well matched in colour, with medium strong saturation, with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching, some chips, nicks and scratches. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 42.00 - 50.00 carats, of mixed colours and clarities, on average G-J colour, VS-SI clarity. Necklace detaches into 8 pieces which are variously numbered. Signs of normal wear and scratches to the metal, consistent with age and use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 163 grams.
