型號5029於1997年推出，產量非常有限。據百達翡麗的宣傳資料，總共只有30只，其中鉑金、白金和黄金各十只。型號5029含蓄的外型掩飾了內裏複雜的機芯。此型號結合了傳頌己久的三問報時與當代流行的自動上弦腕錶。為了滿足分別的要求，百達翡麗設計了R27PS機芯，利用偏移的擺陀騰出空間予三問報時裝置。任何三問報時錶最大的挑戰皆是要確保打鐘聲清晰。為了應付挑戰，百達翡麗測試過多種合金，終於為三問報時打鐘音簧而研發了新的聲學用鋼質材料。在構思三問錶時，除了繁複的技術和審美的需求外，工匠必須時刻考慮清晰的打鐘聲。此型號成功實現了響亮得令人難以置信的打鐘聲，鉸接式Officer's錶殼有內蓋和螺絲固定平直錶耳，讓人聯想起百達翡麗最初生產的幾款手錶。此品型號5029是由著名的製錶匠Jean-Pierre Hagmann為百達翡麗製造，錶殼鉸接式底蓋內印有製錶師款JHP。
