久不奉書，心甚縣縣。邇聞往南京挈貴眷，計還蘇矣。宅子聞成卻張氏者，弊室喜相比近，請教甚便也。玉汝來已及月，感服盛德無已。志書知已脫稿，但府自一本，不知倣何例。此必欲照應大參，取誌名耳。況誌名亦未停當，只云姑蘇志何不可者，不然云蘇州府志。若欲求異，即恐有說不通處。料高明之見，必出於尋常也。恃在知愛，率此一言。燈下呵凍，草草不盡。契生寬頓首，范庵先生尊契從者。
