註：馬晉畫馬聞名，其實他在工筆花鳥的造詣毫不遜色。蓋因受
乃師金城影響，對描繪細謹精緻尤為注重，兼取法前賢，透過臨
摹奠定紮實的基礎，從「以其形求其神」上達致形神俱備的效果。
在作品中既有中西合璧的表現手法，如背景近郎世寧畫風，主體
翎毛則取諸傳統技法。本幅則純粹恪守古賢法度，筆墨設色步武
宋人，輔以寫生所得之狀物逼真肖似的功夫，畫中構圖豐富，敷
色清麗，配搭合宜，鮮艷卻不穠俗，氣派煌然，特別以絹為材，
更呈現了他在宋院工筆花鳥上所下的苦功。
