趙少昂 (1905-1998)

卅六年春月為翰伯尊兄六秩晉一榮壽大慶。趙少昂寫萬壽圖奉祝。

上款：「翰伯」應為畫家學生賴漢之父。賴氏在粵省茂名地區頗具影嚮
力，抗戰避兵期間，少昂攜眷內遷頗得其照拂。

從傳世畫迹所見，早於四一年，趙氏避居香江時，已有作品寫贈賴翰
伯，署曰「同客海隅」，蓋是時粵港交通尚未中輟，故在港居停時彼此
過從頗密。翰伯甚好少昂畫，所得者皆其精心所出，如山水、花鳥，
題材兼備。

本幅寫於一九四七年初，可知兩人於抗戰勝利後重拾交往。畫中以金
桃豐碩、密聚盈枝，上有粉蝶成雙蹁蹁起舞，喻叠壽之意，正與畫題
切合。
