註：嶺南畫派極重寫生。趙少昂無論在中國內地、移居香港或遠遊外
地，足跡踏遍海內外不少風景名勝，在師造化過程中，對景寫生為日
後創作積累素材。本幅寫於一九七一年，題曰「寫港郊景色」，未有
確切明示取景地點。若對照畫家在五十及六十年代期間香江寫生的作
品，取景處多為新界沙田及大埔等地，故畫中老樹生於水湄、漁舟泊
岸之景致，似同屬當年尚未都市化的新界漁村。畫面衹見夕陽餘輝，
灑落於舟蓬頂部及水面，泛起一片橘黃，應是作業完畢、返抵漁村休
息之景象。老樹枝幹粗壯，久歷風霜猶生機不輟，怡好對照詩中「滄桑
歷劫身猶在」之句，一片昇平之景躍現眼前，正是畫家寓意所在。
