公肅兄今年三十，屬偉士姊丈索寫梅花小景。適有乾隆時舊楮，并新得金冬心畫梅小幀，題曰：「以玉樓人口脂與畫眉螺黛寫之，覺春光撩亂于几案間也。」余乃餘煤賸赭草草成之，自不可與冬心同語矣，聊當壽意云爾。甲戌二月。吳湖帆。
鈐印：
「吳湖颿」、「醜簃詞境」、「雙修閣」、「某景書屋」。

-Signs of restoration in the middle of the painting. Foxing could be found throughout the painting, which could be improved by restoration. Otherwise, generallyin good condition.
