風急天高猿嘯哀,渚清沙白鳥飛回;
無邊落木蕭蕭下,不盡長江滾滾來。
老杜登高詩盡寫千古秋思,真士人畫。古來好畫本也。余愛之甚
篤,每以之寫大江湍流之景,是卷亦此類也。
壬辰冬日,天大寒。山陰湯哲明畫於海上景宋山房。

鈐印:
「 湯氏」、「哲明」、「醉流霞」、「且徐行」、「哲明之印」、「樓

註:〈登高〉是老杜傳唱千載的名句,秋興境界,何其宏闊,四聯
相對,何等工整,誠稱律詩的楷模與經典。尤其是前兩句寫景,
將肅殺秋日裏的大江奔流寫得磅礴絢爛,一派蕭條中孕育生機、
蒼涼裏別具華彩的氣象,逼面而來。我自幼篤愛此句,因欲圖之
也久矣。

近代善寫杜陵詩、大江景的高手無過陸公宛若。公喜以三尺條幅
寫江流險灘,尤善寫水,因嘗于峽江中放筏而下者幾月餘,對江
水姿儀爛熟於胸,下筆靈動,似有神助。近獲奇緣,遇諳于畫史
畫理的高人難我。他因知我在山水之外勉強能作界筆,乃約以八
尺橫卷寫山水版〈清明上河圖〉。許是愛〈登高〉入骨髓,腦海中浮
現的竟是陸儼少江流與張擇端舟舍的合體。我雖無意掠美前賢,
卻被他老先生的美意激起血戰古人的雄心,遂決意一逞。

自度稍具思致的,是以一「風」字作為貫穿橫卷的線索,聯繫起江
流的緩與急,奔與回,而由大地歡樂場中的市俗景象漸次過渡至
百年獨登的高臺。房舍舟楫,參張擇端、胡也佛界筆,又藉劉道
士、張擇端、馬遙父、陸儼少乃至傅抱石等諸公的筆法,寫江水
流、回的不同姿態,而以紅黃飛舞的亮麗秋葉與落木蕭蕭的森然
山色相湊泊,並鈐「樓高接大荒」的閒章以長畫意,更奉前輩高人
的雅命,名以〈杜陵秋興〉。勉為交卷,欲博諸公一笑。

想我國繪畫,百餘年來因政治、社會變遷而遭人誤解者也多矣。
唐宋古風,豈遜西洋古典寫實畫派?元明之尚筆墨,豈遜近代西
洋形式、抽象、表現等諸主義?宋時禪僧嘗書白紙以喻文字、邏
輯之有逆般若者,非遠早於今之解構主義、杜尚之便池門?以
一管之筆,擬太虛之體,此我國畫真諦。本來無一物,何處惹塵
埃?又何所謂抽象、寫實?遑論魯男子之善學柳下惠。刻舟求
劍,削足適履,此之謂也!我雖不敏,願此生畫以證之。
