Condition
-Stains can be found at the upper and lower border of the painting. Paper appears greyish due to age. Minor creases could be found at the middle section of the painting, otherwise, generally in good condition.

註：任立凡位列「海上四任」之一，與凡山水、人物、花卉、走
獸皆擅。但早歲疏懶，毋從上輩學習，及長，方悉力為之。亦因
如此，畫風不為父叔囿，直追前賢，兼聰慧靈巧，於古法出入縱
橫，變通融合，自成己貌。
他擅繪大軸，如本幅六尺鉅製，出自其壯歲筆下。曰背臨華新羅
本，大體效之，人馬尤得其法。白駒體健神完，既顯雄強之魄，
亦不乏頸部以至馬首之細緻描寫；飛鴻僅見樹稍一角，正逸出視
綫遠去，不捨之情畢現矣。至於背景之巨岩互叠，大小苔點分佈
其上，綿密積累，層次突顯，而山石凹凸之勢頓生，這與他寫山
水法如出一轍。全畫以局部特寫成之，顧及人物襯景之大小比
例，卻毋空間緊湊壓迫之窘，仍得高曠疏朗之致，經營之妙，可
謂存乎一心矣！
