註：許淑珍投師「白雲堂」，與廣東畫家亦具交誼。他有〈葦畔虎
嘯〉一作，風格極類趙少昂，或許亦曾請益藝事。無論拜門與否，
其友誼未因重洋阻隔而中輟。從本幅寫於抗戰勝利、趙氏出蜀成
行前，以至編號1146之〈竹蜂圖〉，即六十年代訪美講學加州期
間，迭經世變，仍先後寫畫相贈，交情深厚，可見一斑。

劉紀文（1890-1957），廣東順德人。少入讀私塾，後赴石岐於商店任學徒。受書報宣傳之革命思潮影響，一九一○年加入同盟會。辛亥革命後赴日留學，追隨孫中山先生。回國後任職軍政府審計局局長。一九二三年往英國進修，並考察歐美各國之市政規劃建設。二六年回國，被任命廣東省農工廳廳長。翌年，國民政府定都南京後，獲委擔任建市後首任市長，出掌市政期間，致力發展基礎建設，令市容大有改觀。一九三○年調職上海，任財政部江海關監督。三二至三六年間，擔任廣州市長，大肆興革，如電力供應、醫療衛生等，尤以修建海珠橋最為人稱道。一九三七年，調任審計部次長，並一度署理部長職位。四九年政局遽變，他輾轉赴香港，復遷居東瀛。一九五四年定居台灣，擔任總統府國策顧問、光復大陸設計委員會委員之職。一九五六年因病赴美療養，五七年病逝於洛杉磯。
