the cylindrical body rising to gently curved shoulders surmounted by a waisted neck, painted to the exterior with a lady and a girl overlooking five boys at play contesting an official’s flag in a garden with plantain and jagged rocks, all below an incised floral scroll, the rim encircled by pendent leaves

In good structural condition with a restored area of the glaze measuring approximately 50mm by 65mm to shubbery growing behind rockwork to the left of the standing lady . The original glaze had been abraded with some associated losses to the underlgaze blue. The area was cleaned and infilled. Otherwise in good condition with only several other firing imperfections, including a 30mm by 15mm area of gritty glaze inclusion above the foot. Minor surface wear and scratching.
