carved in openwork in the form of a pair of conjoined pheasants perched on a ledge of pierced rocks issuing a fruiting branch of peach tree, the female turning its head towards the larger male, each detailed with long trailing tail feathers, finely incised plumage and an undulating crest above the head, their incurved beaks grasping one end of the furled leaves of the gnarled tree, the smoothly polished yellowish-celadon stone picked out with dark red inclusions and russet streaks, wood stand

The group is in overall very good condition with minor occasional nicks along the edges of the carving.
