the winged creature carved crouching on four paws, its mighty face detailed with raised snout and open jaws emitting volutes of vapour tumbling down its chest, bulging eyes framed by prominent brows and a pair of curved trailing horns, its powerful writhing body articulated by a raised spine terminating in a long bifid tail, the yellowish-celadon stone picked out with patches of brown inclusion, predominantly on the tail, and finished to a smooth polish

The carving is overall in good condition. There is some natural calcification and mild pitting on the russet patches.
