the divinity carved standing in elegant tribhanga with the right hip slightly thrust to one side, her hands in vitarkamudra holding the stem of lotus flowers extending over her arms (one lotus now missing), draped with a shawl impressed with rosettes cast around the shoulders and a long robe cascading in plaits from the waist, a scarf further wrapped around her arms and trailing down toward the beaded lotus base, he bare torso bejewelled with a gemmed torque above a long beaded pectoral, and a tasseled girdle falling in swags of coloured stones around her generous hips, the face finely carved with small delicate features set in a benevolent expression, below a five-peak tirara enclosing combed hair drawn up in a high double knot and falling in tresses over the shoulders, applied overall with richly patinated amber-coloured gold lacquer picked out with red and black pigments resembling coloured stones
