of slender baluster form with tapered sides rising to angled shoulders and a waisted neck, brightly enamelled with a large figural scene depiciting the Three Star Gods (Fulushou sanxing) standing in a continuous landscape, the auspicious trio gathered in circle around a boy held in the arms of the God of Blessing Fuxing, the child attempting to a grab a peach of longevity from the hand of Shoulao's standing next to his companion deer, under the benevolent eye of Luxing, the God of Rank and Emolument holding a staff, all three dressed in ample multi-coloured robes woven in richly patterned fabrics, all below a bat and a gnarled pine beside multi-coloured lingzhi, the neck decorated with a foliate sprig of peonies and two butterflies

Condition
The vase is in overall good condition. There are a few very minor specks or pin-prick air bubbles in the glaze on the rim. The enamels are very well preserved.

Bushell, Oriental Ceramic Art, London, 1981, col. pl. XXI.
The Three Start Gods, forming the Daoist triad of happiness, prosperity and longevity (fu, lu, and shou) and is thought to date back to the Ming dynasty, when Fuxing, Luxing and Shouxing were considered to be personified deities of these attributes.
