each with shallow rounded sides resting on a slightly tapered foot, finely incised and enamelled on the interior with a medallion enclosing a green and an aubergine dragon contesting a 'flaming pearl', their sinous scaly bodies writhing among flames within a double-line border, the reverse similarly incised and enamelled in green with four flying cranes alternating with clouds, between single fillets at the foot and rim, all reserved on a rich egg-yolk yellow ground, the yellow base inscribed with a six-character reign mark

There is some light wear to the aubergine enamel on the interior of both. Both have a few light scratches to the surface glaze on the exterior. There are two small vertical scratches to the exterior of the rim of one and a 3 cm. body line to the cavetto of the other, but apart from this both dishes are in overall good condition.
