of octagonal baluster form supported on a splayed square-cut octagonal foot, the slightly rounded facetted sides rising to angled shoulders and a waisted neck of conforming section, flanked in openwork by two archaistic phoenix handles, very finely carved in low relief around the body with a band of broad chevron infilled with leiwen, below a border of hanging blades collaring the ridged mouth and rim, the translucent stone of pale celadon-white colour smoothly polished to a silky finish, wood stand
