The gilding around the rims of both the vase and edge of the saucer is rubbed as visible on the catalogue photo. There are a couple of tiny nicks along the edge of the ruyi-shaped reticulation, but otherwise the vase is in very good overall condition. One of the dry fruits -the chestnut- is made of painted wood or lacquer and may have been later re-affixed to the plate with traces of an old glue showing on the underside.

此器表現了乾隆朝瓷器製作工藝的高超，標新立異，巧奪天工。乾隆皇帝品味獨特，好雅慕古，利用不同的材質互相模仿，挑戰工匠們的手藝，形成乾隆朝獨有的風格。在他的監督下，經常製造出仿真度極高的器物，讓人真假難分，更產生了仿生瓷器。此器托盤上置了環環相扣的交泰瓶，旁伴各式果實，造型質感逼真，為乾隆朝像生瓷中之精品。清乾隆年間朱琰在《陶說》中曰：「戧金、鏤銀、琢石、髹漆、螺甸、竹木、匏蠡諸作，無不以陶為之，仿效而肖。」

北京故宮博物院藏有數件真假難分的像生瓷，一件藍地描金瓶旁飾螃蟹、貝殼、蝙蝠，見《故宮珍藏康雍乾瓷器圖錄》，香港，1989年，頁404，圖版85。另一件造型略異的粉彩像生瓷果品盤，盤心爬伏一隻螃蟹，四周有核桃、紅棗、荔枝、荸薺、石榴、花生、蓮子、瓜子、櫻桃、菱角等，見《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集‧琺瑯彩‧粉彩》，香港，1999年，圖版151、152；此螃蟹盤2005年於倫敦英國皇家藝術學院《盛世華章》展覽中展出，並著錄於展覽目錄編號232。展覽目錄中提到盤中諸果均有象徵意義，如螃蟹旁飾果實，不但寓科舉殿試第一、高中狀元之意，更含兒孫仕途光明的意願(頁449)。此拍品上的果實具有相同的象徵意義，棗子、花生寓意早生貴子，長生不老；核桃、龍眼、銀杏象徵連中三元之意願。

此器盤上交泰瓶瓶體上下於紋飾間連為一體，節節相連，可活動但不能分開，寓「天地交泰」之意。其製作過程複雜，與轉心、套瓶製法一樣費時耗資。北京故宮博物院藏一件較大但不飾描金的粉青釉交泰瓶，見《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集‧顏色釉》，香港，1999年，圖版138；另一件器形相仿但飾黃地粉彩的交泰瓶現藏台北故宮博物院，見《華麗彩瓷 : 乾隆洋瓷》，台北，2008，圖版73；北京故宮博物院藏另一件帶乾隆款，相扣處飾幾何紋的交泰瓶，見《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集‧青花釉裏紅（中）》，上海，2000年，圖版236。
