Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the grey areas are lighter and brighter in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. In keeping with the artist’s working process and choice of media, there are drying cracks to the thicker areas of enamel. Very close inspection reveals a pin head sized spot of media accretion towards the centre of the right edge on the lower right. There are several faint rub marks to the upper section of the extreme left edge. Very close inspection under raking lights reveals a faint diagonal rub mark to the right edge, 40cm. above the centre of the painting. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
