of globular form supported on a splayed foot with a flat back, painted in underglaze-blue, iron-red, green and yellow enamels with a pair of confronted cockerels amongst prunus and peony sprays issuing from pierced rockwork, with birds in flight above amongst stylized clouds, between ruyi-head bands around the neck and a foliate scroll band around the base
Condition
The neck has been reduced, there are minor loss to the enamels and a firing crack to the base.
