款識:
遊黃山從歙縣入者,經湯口,上紫雲庵、慈光寺,登文殊院,天都、蓮花左右雄峙,玉屏倚其後。雲濤萬頃,氣象萬千。明人聯語:「心疑騎日月,身已到蓬萊」,亦足以見其雄偉也。是稱前海。從太平入者,自松谷經清涼臺、師子林,登始信峯,俯瞰石笋矼、散花塢,怪石林立,肖物賦形,不可名狀。是為後海。此寫松谷,用山樵法,以見其茂密也。爰。

大千先生在四十年代中期的山水創作,埋首鑽研山樵、北苑兩家法。本
幅即取王黃鶴筆法描劃生平遊歷多次且取景屢屢之黃山。畫上題黃岳前
後海之勝,且標明「此寫松谷」,故圖中見雲氣環迴於峰巒高低間,岩頂
多植松蔭,針葉交疊如傘蓋張放,佈局寬緊互濟。畫家縮龍成寸,截取
黃海一角,以小中見大之景,見雲海,現松谷,攝其體貌氣魄。且有高
士橋沿結伴,目寓雲海,貫耳松濤,世外逸致,於此見矣!

畫中用筆綿密茂樸,散鋒擦染,山石岩塊肌理立見,而花青罩染松針,
鬱鬱蒼蒼,畫面氣息沉厚,古意盎然,無乃山樵神髓之再現。
