This work is in very good condition. There is evidence of very minor black and yellow accretions across the surface of the work, only visible under close examination, presumably inherent to the artist's working method. There is no evidence of restoration under UV.

在趙無極眼中,不同尺幅的畫布有不同的創作優點,亦帶來截然不同的挑戰。西方抽象大師之中,羅斯科(Mark Rothko)直言愛畫大幅作品,而趙無極在六○年代除了創作大幅作品,依然不懈地以小尺幅創作。藝術家認為,畫布的尺幅愈小,愈能考驗畫家掌握畫筆的能力,從另一角度看來,唯有運筆能力越高,才越能善用畫布空間。《7.6.65》的色調縹碧,在橄欖色的基上調進鉛白、靛藍,以及構成力量重心的墨彩,其所追求的不是強烈的對比、碰撞,而是彼此間的協調與和諧,使得畫面柔美生輝。藝術家在此放緩雄猛的氣勢,大幅度的潑灑、點甩轉換成排筆的遒勁拖曳,細細耕耘,如清風乍起、如水流逆折,與典型的六○年代作品頗有不同。
《7.6.65》充份把握作品尺幅與節奏間的平衡,細細品味之下,讓人聯想到三國時代《洛神賦》之名句:「翩若驚鴻,婉若游龍,榮曜秋菊,華茂春松。髣髴兮若輕雲之蔽月,飄颻兮若流風之迴雪。」就在本年,藝術家好友馬內榭(Alfred Manessier)稱讚趙無極以抽象繪畫融和中西,他說:「通過你,范寬和林布蘭特筆勢相通,塞尚與米芾、倪瓚光彩與共,丹青群英今薈萃,四海之內皆弟兄!」可見藝術家以油彩所呈現的東方精神。
