Condition
This work is in very good condition. There is a light bulge at the upper right corner 5 cm in length. There is evidence of hairline craquelure 35 cm from the bottom and 15 cm from the left edge of the work. There is no evidence of restoration under UV.

「隨著70年代的目標明確，朱德群獲得了一個嶄新的天地。從這時起，他的畫不再生澀，而是充滿濕潤的韻律，有如水墨畫一般。筆觸仍是他關注的對象，尤其他以大排筆刷出，在畫面上形成優美的肌理效果，但這肌理和以前相比以有根本的不同，它們在此的作用不再是表現，而是造境。意與境的營造不僅使朱德群此時完全超越了以往的作品，而且也使他真正樹立起自己獨特的形象。他的畫面更加豐富和細膩，充分傳遞出神秘而抒情的東方情調；他的視野也更開闊，有時波瀾壯闊，宏大而悠遠，有時又娓娓道來，私密而親切。中國畫中的花鳥畫和山水化都背那到他的視線之中而加以提煉，所以，我們有時可以看到吳昌碩，有時又可以看到潘天壽，還有的讓我們想到林風眠－朱德群已逐步臻入化境。」
