This work is in very good condition. There is evidence of artist's pinholes at the upper left and right corners and very slight undulation across the surface of the work, only visible under close examination.

藍蔭鼎─農家樂
出生於1903年的藍蔭鼎,為台灣知名藝術家,出身農村的他自小以自然為師,展露極高的藝術天分。1924年他跟隨日本著名水彩畫家石川欽一郎學畫,其後並在石川的推薦下入東京美術學校與京都美術學校進修。藍蔭鼎的創作以寫生為主,而其最膾炙人口的作品主題,始終是他最鍾愛的農家景物與台灣鄉間如詩的田園風光。
藝術史評家謝里法曾言:「藍蔭鼎雙腳踩踏的是鄉野的泥土,雙手沾的卻是社會最上層的光和彩。」藍蔭鼎一生成名甚早,如在1926年,其作品即入選日本最具權威的「帝國美術院展覽會」,在當時為莫大殊榮。1971年他被歐洲與美國藝術評論學會選為「世界十大水彩畫家」之一。其畫作並受英國劍橋美術館、西班牙國立美術館,台北市立美術館收藏。藍蔭鼎擅長以流動的透明水彩,將農村恬靜生活中最單純的喜樂入畫,在他輕透亮麗的用色與輕快活潑的下筆中,農家的勤奮、樸實、活力與鄉林間的自然美景一一躍然紙上,勾起觀者童年的回憶。此《農家樂》即為其創作之經典表徵。
