Condition
The canvas has been strip lined. On the whole the paint is not overly worn and many portions are well preserved beneath the old varnish. However, there areas of flaking and repair around Sebastian's knee, and the Madonna's blue dress has perished and been repainted. There is a small repaired damaged on Saint Francis' robe and repaint on its hem.
This lot is offered with a modern gilt wood frame.
