Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has been lined.
PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be in very good condition. There is a relatively thick varnish overall, however there are no apparent extant damages or loss of paint and the pigments appear to be in excellent condition.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals two small areas of retouching in the sky, upper left, and some extremely minor scattered infilling to craquelure in the sky, mostly concentrated in the upper right.
FRAME
Held in a carved and gilded Rococo style frame.
