The work is in good condition overall, as is the panel. There are indications of minor wear and handling with associated nicks and scuffs along the edges and margins, such as a small chip on the upper left edge and lower left corner margin. There is very slight warping on the upper register which is not noticeable from the frontal view. There is indication of a horizontal hairline crack across the upper register, 30 cm from the top. Examination under ultraviolet light showed no indication of restoration. The work exhibits a more dynamic interplay of colors in reality as the gold shimmers are lost in the catalogue illustration.
