The work is in good condition overall. Upon close observation, indication of minute holes and scuffs on the silk, along the top edges and middle right margin, as well as two minute spots on the female figure. There is a faint hairline scratch on the head of the female figure. Evidence of light foxing is scattered throughout the surface, mainly on the faces of the figures. Under ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of retouching. Framed, under Plexiglass.

黎譜是二十世紀最傑出的越南絹畫大師。黎譜自少便天資聰穎，洋溢藝術才能，年輕讀書時便跳級，比別人早三年就畢業於河內美術學院了，後來他致力研究及發掘東西方傳統藝術在越南文化的交流對話，並專攻半印象畫派的人像及花朵的絹畫。黎譜認為，藝術的美，不在矯揉造作，不在以豔色取巧，而在於隱隱淡雅，用透明帶柔之色，引人入細緻婉柔的唯美境界。《一家三口》(拍品編號269) 是黎譜對東方及西方傳統文化投入研究的證據。絹上之一筆一跡，溫柔潤澤，盡現畫家對輕柔水彩之著迷，對世間細膩親情之頌讚。

黎譜所繪的家庭畫作，盡顯人世界最細膩的感情。畫中母親的妍美、女人的母性和稚童的純真，襯托在如詩般親密的柔和光線之下，令人深深感動。黎譜甚少刻畫主角的輪廓，取而代之的，是利用宛如微波起伏的柔柔線條，配上清淡隱約的用色以及一種仿似若夢的透明感，去營造出輕柔細緻的感覺。而背景所用的黃色綠色，更令畫面加添生氣。這一切，都喚起了種種優雅、喜悅、快樂、滿足、感動的溫馨觸感。
