森蘇 · 阿里凡《摔下來的念頭》在作品中透過他常用的鉛筆，Goni和牆上的塗鴉營造了一個跟系列中其他作品與別不同的氣氛，呈現了他嶄新的觀點。一改以往的調皮逗趣，《摔下來的念頭》增添了一份沉重和嚴肅。長達二米高，三米長，這個龐大的畫布描繪了一度高聳屹立的鉛筆頭折枝倒地的模樣。其石墨的核心和支離破碎的木筆桿撒滿地面。而Goni則緊抱鉛筆筆尖瑟縮角落。背景的牆上佈滿了字體塗鴉，字形稚氣不一，滲透著沮喪和迷惘。

「摔下來的念頭」是森蘇 · 阿里凡的「思想家」系列的一個延續，整個畫面情景描述了縱使悲哀卻再明顯不過的結論。在「思想家」系列的Goni永遠坐在搖搖欲墜，脆弱不堪的尖削筆頭上反覆思考著印尼教育的命運。《摔下來的念頭》的構圖裡蘊藏著許多對立的元素，例如牆上凌亂不堪卻缺乏自發性的塗鴉字竟有一種在混沌中停滯不前的靜止感，在玩世不恭的諷刺感中卻維持了一份純潔天真。儘管Goni被廢墟包圍，它卻毫髮無損，讓整個看似絕望的境況留下一線生機。這重生的力量被賦予在森蘇 · 阿里凡最近期作品裡的Goni身上，而那個Goni擔當著藝術捍衛者與勇者的角色。森蘇 · 阿里凡藉此時鼓勵觀者，墮進谷底的好處，就是你每走一步都只會是往上爬。
